The Dutch brand has a long and rich heritage when it comes to bicycle tyres. The first were produced in the early 20th century – in 1909 to be precise – along with a wide range of other rubber products, such as shoe heels, tennis balls, mattresses, boots and more. The ten millionth bicycle tyre rolled off the production line in 1946! 

Over the years, Vredestein bicycle tyres have always been used at the highest possible racing levels. Jan Janssen, the first Dutch Tour de France winner in 1968, started his career as a youngster with the famous ‘Locomotief – Vredestein’ team. There are countless other examples of victories in the world’s top races being achieved by champions using Vredestein tyres. And it is these achievement that stimulate us to continuously provide professional and hobby riders with the best tyres.
